A Part of International Temples Project - Building Temples for World Peace

South African Dharma Celebration 2010

SADC2010
with the National Spiritual Director of the NKT in Southern Africa Gen Kelsang Sangdak

By receiving the profound blessings of Wisdom Buddha Manjushri, and relying upon him with strong faith, we can quickly increase our own wisdom.

We all need wisdom. Wisdom is like a lamp which illuminates our mind so we can see and understand things clearly. It is like a wise friend who tells us what to do and what not to do. It never deceives us but guides us to freedom from problems and pain and towards an experience of real and lasting happiness.

Manjushri is the embodiment of the Wisdom of all the Buddhas. Through engaging in the practice of Manjushri, the inner darkness of ignorance is dispelled, our disturbing doubts are pacified, and we develop a special wisdom able to understand even the most profound Dharma subjects. This special understanding releases us from self-grasping and other delusions, bringing lasting peace and happiness.

On a practical level, our increased wisdom will act as our inner Teacher and will swiftly find solutions to daily problems, be guided onto correct spiritual paths, and act in ways that are beneficial to ourself and others.

Gen Sangdak will explain the practice of self-generation of Manjushri according to Action Tantra. Through following these instructions, we shall be able to maintain a happy mind throughout our life, and gradually accomplish the supreme happiness of full enlightenment.
