Gen Sangdak is the Resident Teacher at Mahasiddha Kadampa Buddhist Centre in Durban and is also the NKT-IKBU National Spiritual Director of South Africa.

Gen Sangdak was ordained in May 2000 in England by his Spiritual Guide, the Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. Geshe-la then asked him to start a Kadampa Centre in Durban, South Africa. He has since also started up the Kadampa Centres in Durban, Cape Town, and Hillcrest (KZN). His clear, warm and joyful teachings present Buddha’s wisdom and compassion in a way that is easy to understand and put into practice.

Kelsang Phuntsog will be guiding the meditations during the weekend. He is the Resident Teacher of Maitreya Kadampa Buddhist Centre in Hillcrest, and is well loved for his sincerity and light-hearted manner.
